John earned his Masters in Social Work (MSW) degree at Adelphi University and is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the State of Connecticut. Specific to tobacco treatment, John has been trained as a Tobacco Treatment Specialist and has worked closely with Dr. Douglas Ziedonis and his Addressing Tobacco Through Organizational Change (ATTOC) team on developing policies and practices of behavioral healthcare settings that focus on addressing tobacco.

In addition to his work on addressing tobacco, John has experience providing clinical services to adults and children in Connecticut and New York. John has managed clinical caseloads as well as provided supervision of staff providing both case management as well as residential programming. John has experience working with adults living on public assistance, adults and children living with mental illness and children and youth in foster care settings. John has held positions from direct care to director levels.
